Os Aqualoucos eram atletas palhaços em trajes de banho que faziam estripulias do alto do trampolim. Eram uma combinação, originalíssima, de saltadores e mergulhadores exímios com palhaços de circo. Famosos entre os anos 50 e 80, eles atraíam milhares de pessoas ao Clube Tietê aos finais de semana. Mas Aqualouco não era profissão nem fonte de renda, era parte da personalidade desses rapazes, que encontraram sua verdadeira vocação ao desafiar o perigo na frente de uma plateia lotada, sem receber nada em troca.

The Aqualoucos were clown athletes in swimsuits who made mischief high above a trampoline. They were a unique mixture of jumpers and divers with circus clown. Most famous between the 1950s and 80s, they attracted thousands of people to Clube Tietê on weekends. But Aqualouco was neither a profession nor a source of income; it was part of the personality of these boys, who found their true vocation by defying danger in front of a packed audience, without receiving anything in return.
